A light texture may suit residential areas, while commercial or driveable surfaces generally benefit from a firmer anti-slip profile. Always test a small area before full application to check the feel underfoot.

UV resistance and non-yellowing clear finishes

UV exposure can cause some resin systems to yellow or fade over time, especially on pale or decorative surfaces. Trasparente is formulated as a non-yellowing, UV-resistant clear epoxy binder for coloured pebbles and grits, making it a practical option for exterior paths and decorative resin-bound floors.

When choosing a UV-stable finish, look closely at whether the product is intended for exterior use and whether it is suitable for dark or coloured aggregates. Prolux also offers strong UV resistance for coated floors, which can help maintain appearance in sun-exposed areas.

When this matters

Anti-slip and UV protection become especially important in south-facing entrances, driveways, pool decks and any area that stays damp or receives many hours of direct sun. In these locations, pairing a suitable base primer with a UV-stable and anti-slip protective layer reduces the risk of slips and helps the floor keep its original colour for longer.
