3D floors are easy to clean when the top clear layer or sealant is kept intact, but they need a gentle, consistent routine. Non-abrasive cleaners and a soft mop or microfibre cloth lift away everyday dust and spills without scratching the transparent surface. Harsh chemicals and abrasive scrub pads are best avoided because they can dull the finish or cloud the visual depth. With regular light maintenance, a 3D floor keeps its clarity and gloss rather than becoming difficult to look after.

Many people assume a glossy resin floor will be high maintenance, but the opposite is often true once the floor is properly sealed. The important part is knowing which products to avoid, so the clear layer above the printed design stays smooth and transparent.

Why non-abrasive cleaning matters

The transparent layer that gives a 3D floor its depth is also the surface you clean. Fine scratches from abrasive pads or gritty cloths scatter light and make the printed layer look cloudy over time. Strong detergents or solvent-based cleaners can have a similar effect by attacking the surface gloss.

A simple weekly cleaning routine

Most 3D floors only need a dry or lightly damp microfibre pass once or twice a week, depending on foot traffic. For kitchens or commercial spaces with more dirt, a mild mix of warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner is usually enough.
