Best Way to Polish 3D Resin Floors

A rotary polisher or hand pad holder provides the highest gloss on 3D resin floors, while manual application with a soft cloth is possible for smaller areas or touch-ups. Use a low to medium speed setting to avoid overheating the surface.
Overlap each pass slightly so no dull patches remain.
Buff off any remaining residue with a clean microfibre cloth before inspecting the gloss.

Manual Polishing with a Soft Cloth

Manual application is possible when a machine is not practical, especially around skirting boards, door thresholds, or small repair areas. A soft, lint-free cloth works best. Apply a small amount of polish to the cloth or surface, then use circular motions and moderate pressure.

Manual work may not reach the same depth of gloss as machine polishing, so expect to spend more time buffing. For the most consistent result, finish with a fresh cloth and light passes to remove any haze.

Preparing the Floor Before Polishing

Polishing works best on a clean, dry surface. Start by sanding the resin with progressively finer grits until the worst scratches are levelled. Remove dust and check for grease, silicone, wax, or adhesive residues, which can interfere with polishing.
