Excessive heat can cause silicone resin moulds to warp or lose their non-stick surface. Always check your mould’s temperature tolerance—most support resin curing temperatures but avoid placing them in direct contact with open flames or ovens beyond their specified range. Give the resin adequate time to cure without attempting to speed the process with extra heat.

Gentle Tools and Cleaning Practices

Never use sharp or aggressive tools to remove cast pieces, as this damages the silicone and makes future demoulding difficult. A light touch is best; if a piece resists, gently flex the mould to release the item. Steer clear of harsh cleaning chemicals or solvents, which can break down the mould material and compromise its non-stick performance. Warm soapy water is usually sufficient, followed by a careful dry.
