For most clear casting epoxies, such as “Trasparente”, a full cure typically takes about seven days under normal conditions. During this period, avoid cleaning or exposing the surface to mineral spirits or other strong solvents, as premature exposure can lead to surface defects or compromised durability.

When Is It Safe to Use Mineral Spirits?

Once the epoxy has fully cured (approximately one week), it becomes more resistant to mild solvents like mineral spirits. At this point, gently wiping away any residue, tape marks, or drips with a small amount of solvent should not affect the cured surface. However, prolonged or repeated exposure to solvents is not recommended—always use the minimal quantity needed and avoid vigorous scrubbing.
