Step-by-Step Mixing for Smooth Colour
For an even and vibrant finish, always blend your powder pigments into resin component A before you add the hardener. Stir the pigment thoroughly until it completely dissolves, which avoids clumping and ensures consistent dispersion. Only after you’re satisfied with the colour and texture should you add the hardener (component B) and mix again as instructed for your resin system.
Choosing and Measuring Your Pigments
Whether using neon or mica powders, start with a small amount and increase until you achieve your desired intensity. For instance, neon powder pigments can be used at about 10g per 2kg of resin—avoid exceeding 15% by weight to keep the resin’s integrity. Mica powders, like the Sahara range, offer dramatic metallic effects using just 5–8g per 1kg of resin. Mix slowly to reduce bubbles and streaks. Be patient and adjust gradually for custom blends.
