UV Resin vs Standard Epoxy: Which is Faster?
If you’re after quick results, UV resin offers significant time savings. Applied in thin layers and placed under a UV lamp, UV resin will cure within minutes—ideal for intricate galaxy pendant designs where you want to build up detail in stages. In contrast, traditional epoxy resins such as those found in the Evershine Collection typically require several hours to fully harden, making them better suited to larger pours or when working without a UV lamp.
Safe Tips to Speed Up Epoxy Resin Curing
While you can’t match UV resin for speed, there are some ways to help standard epoxy set a bit faster. Maintain a warm (but not hot) room where your pendant cures, ideally around 22–25°C, as a cool environment slows the process. Avoid adding extra hardener—this won’t help and can affect the finish.
