Timing makes all the difference. Remove your resin cube as soon as it has fully set but before it becomes excessively hard or stiff. Typically, this is within 12 hours of pouring. Waiting too long can cause the resin to adhere to the mould or make the process more difficult, increasing the risk of chips or rough edges.
How to Demould Smoothly
- Use flexible moulds: Soft silicone moulds, such as the Cube Mould – Square Silicone Mould, allow you to gently flex and release the resin cube without using sharp tools.
- Flex and peel: Loosen the mould edges first by gently pulling or flexing the sides away from the cube. Work slowly around the perimeter and at the corners to help the air get between the resin and mould.

- For larger or deep pours, ensure the resin is cool before demoulding to avoid warping.
