How Glossy, Self-Levelling Epoxy Works

Self-levelling epoxy resins are specially formulated to flow evenly, filling minor imperfections and creating a flat, glass-like surface as they cure. When poured at the correct thickness—typically around 1 to 2 cm—they minimise bubbles and leave a seamless, reflective finish suitable for both wood and hard surfaces like concrete or ceramics.

For most tables and floor applications, a product like “Trasparente” – Multipurpose Clear Epoxy Resin works excellently up to 2 cm per layer. Thinner coatings, such as those for art or accent projects, can also be achieved with alternatives like “Icrystal” epoxy resin.

Tips for Best Results

• Always mix your resin according to the recommended ratio provided, as precise measurements ensure a uniform finish.
• Apply the product in layers that do not exceed the advised maximum thickness (generally 1–2 cm for best levelling and clarity).
• To avoid imperfections, work in a dust-free environment and allow time for bubbles to naturally rise and pop. Gentle application of a heat gun can help, but do not overheat the resin.
• If you wish to add colour, select a product kit with integrated mica powders for personalised effects.
