How Heat Resistant Are Common Resins?

Most epoxy and polyurethane casting resins used for figurines are designed for room temperature environments. For example, “Icrystal” Clear Epoxy Resin offers heat resistance up to roughly 70°C, making it suitable for decorative items rather than objects exposed to direct heat or high temperatures. Polyurethane resins, such as “IWhite”, also provide a durable, stable finish but aren’t intended for continuous exposure to high temperatures. Choosing the Right Silicone Mould

The mould you use for resin casting can be just as important.
