Polyurethane resins are popular for figurine making because of their rapid cure. For example, IWhite Polyurethane Casting Resin can cure and be ready for demoulding in just 30 minutes. Another fast option is Polyform, which sets in about 5 minutes and can be safely handled after 30. In contrast, epoxy resins typically take several hours to reach initial cure and often need a full day to fully harden, especially when casting layers up to about 2cm, as with Trasparente resin.
Practical Tips for Curing Resin Figurines
