Carrying out a test patch on an inconspicuous section helps you check for any adverse reactions before applying the cleaner widely.
How to Perform a Test Patch Correctly
- Choose a hidden or less visible area of the silicone rubber for your test.
- Apply a small amount of your chosen cleaning agent, such as the Strong Technical Degreaser or Pure Isopropyl Alcohol 99.9%, using a soft microfibre cloth.
- Allow it to sit for several minutes and then wipe off gently.
- Observe the area after it dries to ensure no colour change, residue, or loss of flexibility has occurred.
