← Back to How to Clean Resin Floors

If your resin floor looks dull or lifeless, there’s no need to worry. With a little care, you can restore its original shine and keep it looking flawless for the long term.
Thorough Cleaning Comes First
Dirt, grease, and surface residues can quickly sap the lustre from resin floors. Always begin by giving the surface a deep clean. Use a gentle, effective cleaner that is suitable for resin, such as the Strong Technical Degreaser – it’s formulated for resin-safe cleaning and won’t damage the floor. Apply it with a soft microfibre cloth and remove all traces of grime. Rinse with clean water and let the floor dry thoroughly before moving on to polishing.
Polishing Away Dullness and Micro-Scratches
Once your floor is clean, residual micro-scratches or mild wear can be the main source of dullness. To restore a glossy finish, use a dedicated polishing system designed for resin, such as the Epoxy Resin Polishing System. For best results, use polishing pads or a rotary tool, or work by hand using a suitable pad holder. Buff in even motions and wipe away residue using a lint-free microfibre cloth. Never rely on regular household polish or abrasive pads, as these can cause damage and further reduce shine.
When Restoring Shine Matters Most
Bringing back the gloss on resin floors is especially important in high-traffic areas, entranceways, showrooms, or any space where appearance and hygiene are priorities. Regular care can also extend the life and vibrancy of your floor, preventing the need for costly restoration in the future.
