The time required for sandblasted resin to cure depends on several conditions, such as the resin formulation, layer thickness, and the temperature of your workspace. Typically, most quality resins become touch-dry within 12 to 24 hours, allowing for gentle handling. However, for the resin to achieve its maximum strength and full hardness, it may need up to 7 days. It’s best to avoid heavy use or stress on the surface until the curing process is fully complete.
Optimising Cure Conditions
To achieve reliable results, maintain a consistent temperature—ideally between 18°C and 25°C—throughout the curing period. Thicker layers and cool or damp environments can lengthen cure times. If working with coatings such as Art Pro clear epoxy resin, thin pours will generally cure faster and more evenly. Keep your workspace free of dust and direct sunlight while the resin sets for the best finish.
