← Back to How do you shape E-30 resin?

Getting a flawless finish when casting E-30 resin relies heavily on how you pour. Taking your time and using the right technique helps prevent air bubbles and produces a smooth, professional result.
Why Slow Pouring Matters
Pouring resin too quickly can trap air in your project, resulting in bubbles that are difficult to remove later. A steady, gradual pour ensures the resin settles evenly, filling all crevices in the mould and limiting the chance of air pockets or surface ripples. This is especially important for detailed designs or when working with rounded silicone moulds.
Practical Pouring Tips
- Mix your E-30 resin well but avoid vigorous stirring, which can introduce extra air.
- Let the resin stand for a minute after mixing to allow surface bubbles to rise and dissipate.
- Pour slowly from a low height, allowing resin to gently flow into the mould, starting from one edge and moving in a thin stream.
- If bubbles appear, use a cocktail stick to coax them out or lightly pass a heat gun above the surface (on a low setting and with care).
- For best results, select a high-quality silicone mould such as the Round Tray Silicone Mould ⌀26cm to achieve smooth, even finishes.
When This Matters Most
Precise pouring is crucial for projects where clarity, detail, and a level surface are essential—such as clear coasters, floral encapsulations, or layered decorative pieces. Taking extra care at this stage helps preserve the beauty and function of your resin creations.
