Start by ensuring you and your audience are aware of basic safety precautions. Always wear protective gloves and a mask, and explain the importance of safety equipment at the outset. Layout all necessary tools, resin, pigments, and moulds before you begin – having everything to hand avoids needless interruptions during your demo.

• Keep paper towels and a bin nearby for easy clean-up.

Keep it Concise and Interactive

Live demos work best when concise and focused. Instead of a full-length project, choose a small, achievable piece – coasters or ornaments are ideal. Explain each step clearly and encourage questions as you work. Use short pauses after each process to ask if anyone would like a closer look, or to clarify a point.
