Recommended Maximum Casting Depth with Trasparente

Trasparente epoxy resin is best used for casting layers up to 2 cm thick in a single pour. Staying within this limit helps achieve a flawless, clear finish and reduces the risk of overheating or improper curing. Exceeding this depth can result in excessive heat generation, which may cause the resin to yellow, crack, or remain tacky.

For detailed castings, surface coatings, and small river table infills, stick to pours of 2 cm or less per layer.
If your project calls for a thicker fill, ensure each layer is set before applying the next.

Options for Thicker Pours: Layering and Deep Pour Alternatives

If you require a casting thickness greater than 2 cm, consider applying your resin in multiple layers, giving each time to cure before adding the next. This approach is suitable for projects like deeper river tables or large moulds.
