What is an Ultra-clear Formula?

An ultra-clear formula refers to a resin system designed for maximum transparency and minimal colouration. When cured, it produces a see-through finish that enhances embedded items or intricate designs within the mould. For most small to medium projects, such as jewellery, coasters, and artistic creations, transparent epoxy resins like “Trasparente” – Multipurpose Clear Epoxy Resin for Casting – Up to 2cm are especially popular. This type of resin is self-levelling and suitable for layers up to 2cm thick, offering both clarity and durability.

Choosing and Using Ultra-clear Resin

When pouring into a silicone rubber mould, select a resin specifically labelled as ultra-clear or transparent for best results. Ensure your mould is clean and dry before mixing and pouring the resin. Mix gently according to the instructions, taking care not to introduce bubbles, as clarity is the main feature of these resins. Use gloves and the supplied mixing tools to avoid contamination.
