If these ratios are even slightly off, or if the two components are not blended thoroughly, patches of the surface may remain tacky instead of hardening fully.

To achieve a solid, non-sticky finish, measure your resin and hardener as per the manufacturer’s guidelines and mix slowly but thoroughly until the blend is uniform. Work in a space with a stable, moderate temperature and avoid adding additional products or colours that aren’t recommended. After pouring or renewing your surface, allow sufficient time for the resin to cure—hurrying the process usually leads to imperfections. If the surface remains sticky after the recommended curing time, a thin fresh layer of correctly mixed resin or a suitable clear coat may be required.

Polishing Solutions for Tacky Surfaces

If your surface is only slightly tacky but otherwise cured, using a quality resin polish, such as the Epoxy Polish, with a rotary buffer or suitable pad can help remove residue and boost shine. However, polish alone will not resolve underlying curing problems. Always ensure your resin is fully hardened before sanding or polishing for the best finish.
