← Back to Which product should I use for resin on peaches?

Although resin art with fruit can create striking results, pouring resin directly over fresh peaches is not recommended. Moisture in fresh fruit can cause issues beneath the resin, so proper preparation is essential.
Why Fresh Peaches and Resin Don’t Mix
Fresh peaches and other moist fruits are unsuitable for direct resin casting. The water content inside fresh fruit may become trapped under the resin layer, leading to mould, discolouration, or even decay over time. These effects can undermine both the look and durability of your finished piece.

How to Prepare Peaches for Resin Art
For best results, always ensure peaches are thoroughly dried before using them in resin projects. This can be achieved by slicing and leaving them in a food dehydrator or by air drying over several days. Only when the fruit is entirely moisture-free should it be embedded or coated with resin.
Once dry, you may apply a sealing coat of resin such as the “ICreation” Fast Epoxy Resin for a clear, glossy finish that brings out the fruit’s details. For intricate jewellery or decorative applications, “Liquidissima” or “Trasparente” can also be considered.
When This Matters
If you’re crafting items intended for long-term display or as keepsakes, properly dried fruit ensures your resin project remains clean, attractive, and free of unwanted spoilage beneath the surface.
