How Long Does Outdoor Epoxy Take to Cure?
Curing times for outdoor epoxy applications, such as those made using the “Trasparente” Epoxy Binder, follow a two-stage process. The surface is usually walkable after about 10 hours, allowing light use. However, full strength and chemical resistance are reached after 24 hours of curing at typical ambient temperatures.
- Walk-on time: 10 hours (conditions: not exposed to water or heavy loads).
- Fully cured: 24 hours (safe for traffic and weather exposure).

Allowing full curing before subjecting your floor to weather, cleaning, or loads is essential. Avoid applying epoxy if rain is forecast during the curing window. Ensure the substrate and surroundings remain dry and free from frost for at least 24 hours. For the strongest bond, always mix aggregates thoroughly with the binder before applying—placing resin over loose gravel is not advised.
