Tips for Minimising Air Bubbles
The key to preventing bubbles starts from the moment you mix and pour your resin. Always mix your resin slowly and gently, as vigorous agitation introduces air. When pouring, aim for a slow, thin stream instead of tipping it in quickly. This helps air to escape rather than become trapped in the mould.
- Tap the sides of the mould gently after pouring to encourage surface bubbles to rise and pop.
- Run a pin, toothpick, or skewers through any visible bubbles to release them.
