Achieving a Bubble-Free Mix
Bubbles often originate during the mixing stage. Always combine resin and hardener with gentle, deliberate movements, avoiding brisk stirring. Use a spatula or stirring stick and take your time—this helps reduce air introduction. Double-check that you scrape the sides and base of your mixing vessel to ensure all components are well-blended.
Applying Resin to PCB Boards
When it’s time to pour, do so with a steady, slow hand. Pour the mixture in a thin stream from a moderate height, allowing bubbles an opportunity to rise and escape before the epoxy settles over components. Work on a level surface to promote self-levelling and reduce any pooling that might trap air. Finishing Touch: Removing Surface Bubbles
After pouring, inspect the surface for any visible bubbles.
