How the Water-Based Mineral Resin System Works

To activate, simply add tap water following the manufacturer’s recommended ratio—commonly around 100g of resin powder to 27g of water. Stir thoroughly to achieve a smooth, lump-free mixture. The resin then begins to cure, transforming into a durable, ceramic-like material without needing harsh chemicals or specialised safety gear.

Water-based mineral resin is ideal for crafting items such as coasters, trays, decorative pots and other art pieces. It accepts a wide range of pigments and paints for creative customisation after curing. Because this resin is non-toxic and VOC-free, it’s suitable for use at home, in schools, or with children (under adult supervision). For best results, use silicone moulds, work promptly after mixing, and allow the resin to cure fully as recommended—typically demoulding can occur in under an hour with some products like the “Coasters” kit.
