UV lamps are designed to cure specific UV-curable resins. When these resins are exposed to the right wavelength of ultraviolet light, they harden rapidly—often within just a few minutes. Standard epoxy or polyurethane resins, however, will not react to UV and require chemical catalysts and time to cure properly.
