Resin Options for Vehicle-Friendly Permeable Floors

Three primary resin types are available for permeable vehicle surfaces:

How to Select the Right Resin

When deciding, consider the aggregate colour, substrate, and the expected traffic load:

• For white or light stones, choose a specialised polyurethane binder to maintain a bright, clear finish.
• For coloured aggregates, low-yellowing epoxy is better to preserve tone and prevent fading over time.
• If sealing concrete, methacrylic resin efficiently protects and enhances the substrate against moisture, chemicals, and mechanical wear.

Always follow supplier guidance regarding application temperatures (generally above 10°C) and substrate preparation for optimal results.

When Permeable Resin Flooring Matters Most

Permeable resin-bound systems excel in driveways, parking areas, and paths subjected to frequent rainfall or surface water concerns. Their structure allows rainwater to filter through, reducing puddles and helping prevent flooding, while maintaining a clean, solid surface for vehicles year-round.
