Understanding Heat Pro’s curing timeline is key for achieving a tough, glossy and heat-resistant finish on your resin projects. Here’s what you need to know to ensure successful results.
Full Curing Time Explained
Heat Pro resin reaches its full cure in approximately 24 hours at standard room temperature. This means it will have achieved its optimal hardness and heat-resistant qualities, suitable for projects like coasters, trays, and other small or medium surfaces. Allowing adequate time for curing prevents surface imperfections and ensures maximum durability.

Working with Heat Pro: Handling and Timing
The gel time for Heat Pro is about 3 hours. During this window, the resin is workable and can be shaped or adjusted as needed. After this stage, it begins to solidify and should not be disturbed for the remainder of the curing period. For the best result, apply the product in thin, even layers—ideally up to a recommended area of 0.5 m². Thicker or larger applications may extend the curing time and are not recommended with this product.
- Mix at a 100:75 ratio for accuracy.
- Avoid touching or moving the cured item before 24 hours has elapsed.
- Optimal results are achieved in a dust-free, well-ventilated environment.
When Fast, Reliable Curing Matters
Rapid, predictable curing is vital when you need your project ready swiftly or if you want to avoid accidental marks and dust settling on the surface. If you’re making heat-resistant coasters or trays as gifts or for sale, allowing a full 24-hour cure minimises any risk of soft spots or loss of gloss, ensuring your work performs beautifully even with high temperature demands.
