1 Necessary Materials
To create resin molds, it is essential to have the right materials at hand. On RESINPRO, you can find a wide range of high-quality products such as epoxy resins, silicone for molds, and release agents. Make sure to also have containers, mixing sticks, and protective gloves.
2 Model Preparation
The first step in creating resin molds is to prepare the model to be used. This can be an object made of silicone, plastic, or any other non-porous surface. Ensure that the model is clean and free of dust or dirt that could compromise the mold's quality.
3 Making the Silicone Mold
Once the model is prepared, you can proceed with making the silicone mold. Pour the silicone into a container and mix it thoroughly following the manufacturer's instructions. Pour the silicone over the model, making sure to cover it completely. Allow the silicone to dry for the necessary time before removing the model and obtaining your customized mold.
4 Using the Resin Mold
Once you have the silicone mold, you can start creating your resin pieces. Pour the epoxy resin into the mold, adding any colors or inserts like dried flowers or glitter. Let the resin dry for the required time and gently remove it from the mold to admire your masterpiece.
