Repairing and Priming for Best Results
Inspect the surface for holes, cracks, or loose materials. Fill these imperfections with a suitable filler and sand smooth once cured to ensure the area is level. If your surface is porous or lacks uniformity, applying an appropriate primer is a good idea.
