Check and Prepare the Substrate

The foundation of your permeable terrace must be clean, stable, and free from cracks or loose material. Remove dust, grease, vegetation, and any previous coatings from the surface. For areas expected to take only light foot traffic, compacted soil may suffice, but for heavier loads or vehicles, a concrete base at least 7–8 cm thick or a grass-reinforcing grid is advisable. Ensure the substrate is dry before installation—humidity or dampness can compromise resin adhesion and curing.

Selecting and Laying Aggregates

Use only washed and dried aggregates—this minimises the risk of curing problems and surface defects. If using pebbles already on hand, ensure they are thoroughly cleaned and dried.
