1 Preparation of Carbon Fiber Material

First, make sure you have all the necessary materials for carbon lamination. You can find everything you need on RESINPRO, the specialized website in high-quality epoxy resins. Before starting, ensure that the carbon fabric is clean and free from impurities that could compromise resin adhesion.

2 Calculating the Resin Quantity

The calculation of the quantity of epoxy resin needed for 1 sqm of carbon depends on the fabric weight and the desired lamination type. Generally, it is recommended to calculate a resin quantity equal to 60-70% of the carbon fabric weight. For instance, if you are laminating a 200 gsm fabric, you will need approximately 120-140 g of resin per 1 sqm of carbon.

3 Applying the Resin

Once the required quantity has been calculated, proceed with applying the resin on the carbon fabric. Ensure to distribute it evenly across the surface to guarantee a uniform and durable lamination. Let the resin dry according to the manufacturer's instructions and apply additional layers if needed to achieve the desired strength.
