1 Shower Tray Preparation
Start by thoroughly cleaning the shower tray to remove any soap scum, limescale, or dirt. Use a degreasing cleaner and ensure the surface is completely dry before proceeding with the resin application.
2 Resin Application
Prepare the resin following the manufacturer's instructions. Pour the resin onto the shower tray and spread it evenly using a notched trowel. Make sure to cover the entire surface and level the resin well to avoid unsightly irregularities.
3 Drying and Finishing
Allow the resin to dry for the time specified by the manufacturer, usually ranging from 24 to 48 hours. During this period, ensure that the shower tray is not used and remains protected from dust and moisture. Once dry, you can proceed with the finishing by sanding any imperfections with fine sandpaper and polishing the surface with a specific product.
4 Maintenance and Care
To ensure the longevity of the resin on the shower tray, avoid using overly aggressive or abrasive cleaning products. Opt for neutral detergents and avoid abrasive sponges that could damage the surface. Additionally, it is advisable to periodically apply a protective polish to maintain the resin's shine over time.
