Preparing the Work Area

Before starting to work with RESINPRO's transparent resin for artists, it is essential to properly prepare the work area. Make sure to work in a well-ventilated and dust-free environment. Protect the work surface with a sheet of plastic or paper to prevent the resin from sticking to surfaces. Also, ensure to wear gloves and protective goggles to guarantee your safety during the process.

Measuring and Mixing the Components

The transparent resin consists of two main components: resin and hardener. It is crucial to carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions to accurately measure the two components in the right proportion. Use a graduated container and a mixing stick to thoroughly blend the resin and the hardener. Work quickly as the resin starts to harden once mixed with the hardener.

Applying the Resin

Once the resin has been thoroughly mixed, it's time to apply it to the desired surface. Pour the resin evenly on the surface and spread it with a brush or spatula. To prevent air bubbles, you can use a gas torch to quickly pass over the surface and bring them to the surface. Allow the resin to dry for the time specified by the manufacturer's instructions.

Once the transparent resin has completely hardened, you can proceed with the surface finishing. If necessary, you can sand the resin with fine-grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth and glossy surface.
