1 Preparation of Espanso
Before starting the resin coating process on the foam, it is essential to ensure that the surface is clean and free from dust or residues. Use a damp cloth to remove any impurities and let it dry completely. It is advisable to lightly sand the surface to ensure better resin adhesion.
2 Resin Application
Once the surface is prepared, you can proceed with the resin application. High-quality epoxy resins, such as those available at RESIN PRO, are recommended to ensure long-lasting and professional results. Follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully to prepare the resin and hardener in the right proportion.
3 Applying Resin on Espanso
Pour the prepared resin onto the foam surface evenly using a brush or a spatula. Make sure to cover the entire surface and eliminate any air bubbles using a vacuum roller. Let the resin dry for the recommended time before proceeding with any finishes or decorations.
4 Finishing and Maintenance
Once the resin is fully cured, you can proceed with finishing the work. Optionally, you can lightly sand the surface to make it smooth and uniform. For added shine and protection, it is advisable to apply a layer of transparent varnish.
