Always clean your silicone moulds promptly after use with mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive sponges, as these can damage the mould’s surface and reduce its effectiveness. Let the moulds dry completely before storing. Be gentle when demoulding and steer clear of sharp tools, which can leave permanent marks or tears in the silicone.
Why Use Silicone Oil?
Applying a thin layer of silicone oil—such as Silicone Oil for Mould Protection and Easy Release – 15ml—after each cleaning helps maintain the flexibility of your moulds and makes demoulding easier. This step creates a protective barrier to prevent materials from sticking, which also minimises surface wear over time.
