How to Remove Epoxy Resin from the Floor
2. Use the Right Solvents to Remove the Resin
To remove epoxy resin from the floor, you may need to use specific solvents depending on the type of resin and the floor material. Make sure to carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions and test the solvent on a small hidden area before proceeding with the complete cleaning.
3. Gently Scrape off the Hardened Resin
Once the solvent has been applied, let it sit for the recommended time and then gently scrape off the hardened resin with a scraper. Be careful not to damage the floor during this process and proceed with caution to remove all excess material.
4. Clean and Polish the Floor
After removing the majority of the epoxy resin, thoroughly clean the floor with water and specific detergents to eliminate any residues. Finally, polish the surface to restore its original shine and ensure that the floor is completely clean and free of resin traces.
