Deep Casting Resin: Key Differences
Not all epoxy resins are suitable for thick pours. Regular resins may overheat or crack when used in layers above 1–2 cm. Dedicated deep-pour resins, however, are formulated with low exothermic reactions to allow single casts of several centimetres. For example, EpoxyTable 5-Five is ideal for pours up to 5 cm, while Epoxytable 10-Ten handles depths up to 10 cm, making them the preferred choices for river tables and significant artistic castings.
